Dermal Fillers

How Can Fillers Help Me?

As we age, our skin’s elasticity and collagen production decrease, resulting in wrinkles, fine lines, and sagging skin. The idea of permanent furrows on your forehead or crow’s feet around your eyes is not what people generally look forward to experiencing. Fortunately, with dermal fillers, you can reverse common signs of aging.

With the help of a trusted injector like the skilled providers at Wheelhouse Aesthetics, you can restore your youth and confidence with smooth, plump, youthful-looking skin.

What Is A Dermal Filler?

The loss of hyaluronic acid and collagen is one of the most common reasons that skin elasticity decreases as we age. Too much sun exposure, lifestyle choices, weight fluctuations, and hereditary factors are some of the reasons your skin might be more prone to signs of early aging. Dermal fillers are used to restore hyaluronic acid levels within the skin while also helping the body to produce more collagen. They are generally composed of a hyaluronic acid gel that, when injected into targeted areas, can help reduce fine lines, wrinkles, furrows, sagging skin, and other stubborn signs of aging. HA's are hydrophilic (meaning they attract water) and can help stimulate natural collagen production and give the look of fullness.

Immediate Results with Little or No Downtime

Unlike more invasive procedures, dermal fillers provide immediate results. The transformation process is not only quick, but it also has little to no downtime. A dermal filler session can be completed in as little as 30 minutes, about the length of your lunch break. Unlike surgery, which would require a period of rest and recovery, after receiving your injections, you can go about your normal daily activities with minimal side effects.also a sense of inner peace and well-being.

Decrease Common Signs of Aging

Many dermal fillers offered at Allure Anti-Aging and Aesthetics have a natural skin component, such as hyaluronic acid. This molecule can retain moisture like a sponge, effectively hydrating and plumping your skin. Other fillers can also help increase your body’s production of collagen. When collagen production is stimulated, it leads to more youthful skin that looks tighter, smoother, and more radiant.

Restore Your Skin’s Youthful Plumpness

Are there now hollows underneath your eyes? Have you lost definition in your cheeks? Have your lips developed fine lines and wrinkles? Losing the plumpness of your skin is one of nature’s most unwelcome signs of aging. Dermal fillers can effectively help to reverse this symptom of aging by restoring your skin’s youthful volume. The results are fuller cheeks, smoother skin, and an overall more youthful aesthetic.

Achieve A Full, Sexier Pout

From celebrities, models to your next door neighbor, full lips are part of today’s look and not going anywhere. If you were born with thin, flat, lifeless lips, you’ve probably tried everything on the market to get them plumped up. From weird devices to stinging lipglosses, but they all leave you feeling uncomfortable and disappointed. Dermal fillers can be used to plump your lips while still looking natural and glam. Plus, the results last for months.

Add Definition To Your Jawline and Chin

The benefit of a strong jawline is most common amongst men, but many women find it helpful too if they were born with a weak jawline and chin. Dermal fillers can be used to help fill in areas where the chin or jawline is lacking in volume and definition for sleeker, sexier facial contours.

Most Common Areas Treated

Dermal fillers are commonly used to address various areas to enhance volume, smooth wrinkles, and achieve a more youthful appearance. These treatments can have a significant impact on overall facial aesthetics and can be effectively improved.

  1. Nasolabial Folds: These are the lines running from the sides of the nose to the corners of the mouth. Fillers help to smooth these lines and restore volume.
  2. Marionette Lines: These lines run from the corners of the mouth down to the chin. Fillers can help to soften these lines and lift the corners of the mouth.
  3. Cheeks: Fillers can add volume to the cheeks, providing a lifted and more youthful contour. This area is often treated to improve overall facial balance and structure.
  4. Under-Eye Area (Tear Troughs): Fillers in this area can reduce the appearance of dark circles and hollowing under the eyes, giving a more refreshed look.
  5. Lips: Fillers can enhance lip volume, shape, and definition. They are used to add fullness and smooth out fine lines around the lips.
  6. Jawline and Chin: Fillers can be used to enhance the jawline and chin, providing better definition and contour to these areas. This can help create a more balanced profile.
  7. Temples: As people age, the temples can become hollow. Fillers can restore volume in this area to improve overall facial harmony.
  8. Hands: Dermal fillers can be used to add volume to the backs of the hands, reducing the appearance of veins and tendons for a smoother look.

Frequently Asked Questions about dermal fillers

Please reach us at 229-541-1950 if you have any further questions.

Generally speaking, most fillers last between 9 months to ONE (1) year, however some may achieve longer results and some may receive less. This time line will vary based on which product is used, the area of injections, and the patients age and metabolism.

Topical numbing cream is applied to treatment area for 15-20min, and most syringes have lidocaine added into the filler to have a virtually pain free experience.

Many people experience things such as bruising, swelling, and minor discomfort in treatment area for 3-5 days post treatment. Most people might feel the filler (lumps and bumps) for up to 4-6 weeks post injection while the filler is integrating into the surrounding tissue. This is generally nothing to be concerned with, however contact your injector if you have any questions or they are bothersome.

There are no specified times of year to get this treatment. It is safe to get all year round. However, when planning to get filler for a special occasion or other important event, it is recommended that you should consider doing it at LEAST 3 months in advance or more to allow for adjustments, settling of product, and full results prior to event date. This is especially recommended for first time filler clients.

This is provider and patient dependent. To avoid complications such as filler migration or a vascular occlusion (VO), some providers prefer to wait in between 3-6 months (or more) after receiving a full syringe. However, there are exceptions based on how patient responded to the filler and need for more to achieve optimal results. This will be discussed during consultation and recommendations will be made based on the provider assessment.

There are many misconceptions that surround neuromodulators and fillers. When treated properly and with a practitioner that has the experience and knowledge to do so, a natural result can be achieved.
